Meet the Team – Jay Grant

Meet Jay Grant – Telephone Sales Representativejay naya

Our customers and the vets we work with often comment on the amazing people we have working at Agria. It’s important to us that our team is filled with people who are not only great at their jobs, but have a genuine love of pets and empathy with their owners. And we’d like you to get to know them…

This month, Jay Grant, one of our Telephone Sales Representatives, is in the spotlight. She’s worked at Agria for just over nine years, and her job is to answer calls from pet owners to help with any queries they may have about our policies and provide them with quotes.

Q. Why do you like working at Agria?

A. As I’m a great animal lover, I love talking to our customers about their cats and dogs. I also really enjoy working as part of the team, as we work very well together and always support each other.

Q. What’s the best thing about your job?

A. I really do enjoy chatting to our customers, and it’s fantastic when someone new takes out a policy as it’s great to know their pet is going to be well looked after.

Q. And the most challenging part?

A. Sometimes pet owners’ minds are set on finding the cheapest policy available. It’s a good challenge to help them to understand how important lifetime pet insurance is, and all of the benefits that come with it. And it’s great when they then change their mind!

Q. What did you want to be when you were a child?

A. I think I wanted to be a fireman!

Q. What was your first ever job?

A. I worked in a sweet shop.

Q. What kind of pet do you have?

A. I have two dogs, Naya, who’s a blonde Siberian Husky cross German Shepherd – she’s five, and Chanti, a Labrador cross English Springer who’s black and four years old.

Q. Do they have any special talents?

A. Naya will give you her paw, then go down and roll over and Chanti will give you high fives!
