Agria Vet Guide cover

Lifetime cover … and lifetime help with preventive care

Agria Pet Insurance, UK subsidiary of the Scandinavian pet insurance giant, and National Veterinary Services have teamed up to launch a lifetime pet insurance policy at the 2011 British Small Animal Veterinary Association Congress.

Agria and NVS have introduced a simple package of promotional tools for vets designed to make introducing lifetime pet insurance to clients easy and effective while supporting practice business.

Uniquely, policies offer a choice of lifetime veterinary fees cover, a pick and mix range of optional benefits and help each year with routine care costs for as long as the policy continues.

To add value to a practice’s primary vaccination package, there is also a free period of cover that the practice can initiate and the client activate. This avoids advance planning, disruption and inconsistency during busy surgery times and importantly, also avoids the need for a practice to engage in insurance mediation, appointed representative status and all the associated bureaucracy.

For practices who are an appointed representative of another insurer, there is no regulatory barrier to displaying and using Agria materials too.

The preventive care benefit contributes towards a pet’s annual booster vaccination or health check, requires no practice administration and is positioned to supplement the practice’s reminder programme by encouraging clients regularly back into practice.

A selection of fixed and percentage excesses helps maintain competitive pricing and enables pet owners to match premiums to their budget.

Amongst the policy’s optional benefits is cover for breeding risks – fertility tests, gestation, dystocia and puppies and kittens pre-sale.

Working with Agria to distributed materials and introduce the policy and sales tools to practices is the UK’s largest veterinary wholesaler, National Veterinary Services.

Practices wanting to find out more about making Agria Pet Insurance available for their clients, should call NVS on 01782 770 319 to arrange a territory manager visit or go to the Agria veterinary website at www.agriavetcare.co.uk
