Our Rescue Cat of the Week: Lucas

We’re proud sponsors of National Pet Month! Supporting the theme, ‘Pets and the Elderly: enjoying later years together’, we’re helping some of the older rescue dogs out there have an even bigger voice and hopefully find themselves  a ‘forever’ home.

Meet Lucas

IMG_2807Agria’s Rescue Cat of the Week is the very laidback Lucas!

This most distinguished of cats is around eight-years-old and looking for a calm, loving forever home where he can share the huge amounts of love and affection he has to give.

Lucas was found sheltering in an old cardboard box, after his family moved away and either left him behind, or he felt so homesick he returned to his home town. When he was found he was hungry, filthy and exhausted.

He also had a nasty growth on his ear that was found to be cancerous. This has been completely removed, along with part of his ear to ensure that no cancer remains. Lucas is now totally fit and healthy, and having had some rest and good meals, is back to his chilled-out, relaxed self again!

lucas2All Lucas needs now is a home.

He’s gentle, affectionate and good with children, and is just so happy to have some kindness and attention in his life after a long, hard time on the streets.

Could you be the person to give Lucas a happy ending?

If you’d like to find out more about him, please call Ruth at Rolvenden Cat Rescue on 01580 241632.
