As Agria Pet Insurance continues to grow rapidly, the Company has up-graded its scanning technology to make the digitalisation of the increasing volumes of claims paperwork even more efficient.

The KODAK Alaris i4600 scanner and KODAK Capture Pro software allows every claim-related item to be stored centrally ready for instant access by an Agria claims assessor. By doing so – whether claims are on-going or require historical examination – every item related to any one of Agria’s many thousands of pet insurance policies can be accessed in seconds.

Barcodes included on claim forms enable all paperwork received to be scanned and instantly uploaded to Agria’s in-house CRM system. “We usually have several pages related to every claim and with over 75,000 claims handled last year alone this function is absolutely invaluable to remove manual input and enhance our assessors’ productivity,” says Michael Rodrigues, Infrastructure Manager at Agria.

This purchase was another milestone for Agria, one of the world’s leading pet insurers. Founded in Sweden over 120 years ago, Agria is the leading provider of pet insurance to the Scandinavian market. Since coming to the UK in 2007, the company has seen impressive growth forging strong partnerships with key industry bodies including the Kennel Club and the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy.

Simon Wheeler, Managing Director of Agria Pet Insurance in the UK explains, “Scanning claims paperwork improves our administrative efficiency and helps us to meet our aggressive customer SLA of assessing claims within 5 working days. Storing information centrally allows easy access when claims are live, makes retrieval of historical claims data instant, and enhances our working environment by removing paper clutter.”
