Agria is one of the world’s leading animal insurers and in the UK we have an ambitious three year plan to treble the size of the business. We are specialists in the animal health industry and our close collaborations with the veterinary profession and animal organisations help us to remain at the cutting edge of pet health development, practice business growth and the changing needs of the pet owning community.

The role

As a Business Development Manager, you will identify and recruit veterinary practices to promote our products and services to their customers. Having previously gained sales experience and contacts within the veterinary market, you will actively recruit new veterinary practices and develop our existing relationships with veterinary practices and aligned industry partners, working closely with them to implement a strategy for growth to achieve agreed targets. You will be an excellent communicator, and able to train our partners on necessary regulatory processes. You will also be able to keep up to date with market trends and build the Agria brand through local and national marketing campaigns and 3rd party partner organisations.

What we would like you to have

You will have proven experience in achieving sales targets within the Veterinary market with the ability to confidently engage with clients over the telephone and in person. You must have proven experience of meeting sales targets and objectives in a business to business field sales environment. Your previous sales experience will have enabled you to have developed self-management skills, including diary management, planning, prioritisation, self-motivation and resilience, with the ability to use Microsoft 365 software across different multiple platforms and experience of CRM systems. You must hold a valid UK driving license.

What we can offer you

A whole array of benefits including an excellent salary and commission scheme, company car, 27 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, a competitive pension and life assurance scheme, the option to buy and sell holidays, discounted gym membership, online and high street discounts, team and company social events and so much more.

We will invest in your training from day one, and continue to support your development throughout your career with us.
