Job title: Senior Software Developer/Business Analyst
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative and rapidly evolving company in the Pet Insurance industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our small IT team.
As a Senior Software Developer, your focus will be to deliver effective IT solutions aimed at enabling the business to exceed its goals, forecasts and expectations. You will be responsible for the full development lifetime cycle from requirements gathering, design, development, testing and implementation of new software and updates. The role combines the intelligence and probing skills of analysis and the programming skills of an experienced developer.
What we would like you to have
You will have an IT, Mathematics or business related degree, with experience of software development and business analysis. You must have experience in developing complex .Net WinForms or WPF applications, writing complex T-SQL queries and a strong understanding of MSSQL server. Experience with .Net MVC & Umbraco would be an advantage. You must also have good commercial awareness and be able to think outside the box as well as to follow structured methods of delivery. You should have excellent problem solving skills, good communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to deliver excellent customer service.
We are looking for someone that can both challenge and support the business, someone that gets truly excited about ways to improve performance and demonstrates a passion and hunger to do so. You must be proactive in your approach, pragmatic and not just ‘a techie that awaits instruction’.
