The seven-strong contingent will cycle over 500 miles across three days to raise money for Dogs for the Disabled and Macmillan Cancer Support. The event, the 2014 Vosges Challenge, run by Extra Mile Challenges, will see the Agria Pedal Pushers and Agria Testcycles pedalling a challenging route through the Vosges Mountains and the Black Forest.
This is the second year that teams from Agria have taken part in the event. For Lorraine Tannatt Nash, Agria’s Sales Manager and this year’s organiser, it’s her fourth consecutive year taking on the Extra Mile Challenge, so she has an idea of what to expect, “I’m thrilled Agria has teams taking part in the Extra Mile again this year. It’s sure to be tough, but it’s an incredible event to be a part of and a great opportunity to raise money for two fantastic charities.”
Agria is well-known for its charitable work. Earlier this year, Managing Director Simon Wheeler raised over £1,000 for the Animal Health Trust by taking part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100, while Lorraine, together with colleague Elaine Vincent, raised over £1,100 for breast cancer charity Walk the Walk by taking part in various extreme power-walking challenges.
