Agria Pet Insurance is gearing up for the first Agria Agility Grand Prix competition of 2016. This eagerly awaited class will take place at Hatton Agility Festival, 7-8 May, with the winner receiving £250 towards a fantastic ‘DogFriendly’ break.
And if this wasn’t enough – this year Agria is also running a photography competition at Hatton – where the best action shot of the show will win one of the latest innovations in dog safety and fitness, the Dog Tracker Nano!
Over the year, a total of four winning handlers will win £250 towards a DogFriendly break, courtesy of Agria Pet Insurance and DogFriendly. Two winners will come from Grand Prix classes for large dogs, with the remaining two the winners of the Brillo International Bounce finals for small and medium dogs, later in the season.
Steve Bennett, founder of DogFriendly, says, “When we started DogFriendly over 13 years ago, our aim was to help dogs and their owners to get out and to promote the benefits of spending quality, active time together. Agility is a wonderful way to enjoy time with your dog, being healthy and fun for both dog and handler, so we are delighted to continue our involvement in supporting Agria Agility again this year.”
And if last year’s excitement was anything to go by, the Grand Prix at Hatton will be a thrilling visual spectacle, with the five top-placed dogs competing in reverse order over a short course to jump their way to the prize.
It’s hard to imagine a better scenario to capture the action on camera – and this year there’s even more of a reason to do so. Agria will be celebrating the fit and healthy lifestyle agility dogs lead with a photography competition, and it’s open to everyone attending the Hatton Agility Festival.
Competitors and spectators are invited to snap away at the action, and the very best action shot of the show that’s shared with Agria will win a Dog Tracker Nano!
Complete with ‘Speed Track’ upgrade, the waterproof, collar-mounted unit will keep track of even the fastest and most active dog. The prize, courtesy of Dog Tracker Nano (www.dogtrackernano.com) is worth £123 and the perfect piece of technology to help every dog stay safe and fit.
To enter, simply post your image/s on Agria’s Facebook page (agriapetuk) and email a high resolution copy to email@example.com, entitled ‘Agria Agility Action Shot’ ready for the Agria team to pick the winner.
Alastair Cook, Head of Sales and Marketing for Agria Pet Insurance, says, “For us, agility captures so much of what dog ownership is all about – having a fit, happy and well-trained dog to enhance your own life, health and happiness. We can’t wait to watch the excitement of our Grand Prix and Brillo International Bounce finals first-hand, and see those moments of the show captured forever as images.”
Whether you’ll be competing in the ring with your dog or ringside behind the lens, good luck at Hatton and don’t forget your camera!
