Competition Terms and Conditions – Agria Horse of a Lifetime 2024
These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Participants of the promotion agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. This competition is open to residents in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man who are aged at least 18 years who meet the terms and conditions to qualify. Employees of Agria Pet Insurance Ltd are not eligible to enter.
2. Entrants must submit their photo and story to the Agria Horse of a Lifetime entry form: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MTQK6T8.
3. The competition opens on 13/03/23 and submissions will remain open. Every three months four horses will be shortlisted. Voting for the winner from the four shortlisted entries will open after these dates, the closing dates for each voting period will be outlined in the accompanying social media post. Only one entry will be accepted per person per three-month period. The same person may re-enter the following period. Entrants that have reached the shortlist stage are not eligible to enter again.
4. Photos submitted to the competition must be owned by the entrant or have permission from the person who owns the copyright (this applies to all photos purchased from a professional photographer), in order to submit it. Any entrants found to be using an image without the rights or permission to do so, will be disqualified. Any photos submitted may be used by Agria Pet Insurance Ltd for marketing purposes.
5. Four shortlisted horses will be selected by a panel of judges (a list of which is available on request) on the following dates: 29/02/2024, 31/05/2024, 31/08/2024, 30/11/2024. The shortlisted horses will be posted on Facebook and Instagram and the public will vote for the winner by commenting on the post with the name of the horse. Voting will end on the date specified on the social media post for that period. The winner will be the horse with the most votes overall from both Facebook and Instagram. This process will take place for each of the periods ending with the dates 29/02/2024, 31/05/2024, 31/08/2024, 30/11/2024.
6. The prize for those shortlisted will be a rosette and Agria cap. The prize for the winner each month will be a personalised name plaque with a portrait of the winning horse. The winner will also receive a rosette and Agria cap. Prizes will be awarded during each period for the duration of the competition.
7. The winner will be provided with a voucher for a personalised plaque provided by Jayvee Art & Photography (https://www.jayveeartandphotography.com/). Agria Pet Insurance Ltd and Jayvee Art & Photography maintain full control of the product type and size.
8. The shortlisted entrants and subsequent winner will be contacted as soon as reasonably possible after being selected through the email address submitted on the entry form. They will be required to provide an address to send their prize to.
9. The shortlisted entrants and winner will receive their rosette and cap within two months of voting closing unless events occur outside of Agria Pet Insurance Ltd’s control. Once they have received their voucher, the winner must contact Jayvee Art & Photography to redeem their prize.
10. All shortlisted Horses of a Lifetime who feature as part of the competition may be considered for possible shortlisting for the Agria Horse of a Lifetime award at the annual Horse & Hound awards in November 2024.
11. Your personal data will not be shared with any other third parties and your marketing preferences will be unaffected by entering this competition.
12. Any photographs depicting any animals in unsuitable or unsafe environments, or considered by Agria Pet Insurance Ltd to be inappropriate, will be removed and the entrant may be disqualified. Any comments considered by Agria Pet Insurance Ltd to be inappropriate or offensive will be removed and the entrant will be disqualified.
13. Should Agria Pet Insurance Ltd be unable to contact the winner or should the winner be unable to accept the prize, Agria Pet Insurance Ltd reserves the right to award the prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.
14. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives. If product becomes unavailable it will be replaced by a product of similar or higher quality.
15. The winner may be required to participate in publicity.
16. Agria Pet Insurance Ltd reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that does not adhere to these terms and conditions.
17. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of Agria Pet Insurance Ltd and accordingly Agria Pet Insurance Ltd may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to Agria Pet Insurance Ltd as a result thereof.
18. If for any reason any aspect of this cannot run as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of Agria Pet Insurance Ltd which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, Agria Pet Insurance Ltd may in its sole discretion modify or suspend the competition or invalidate any affected entries.
19. Agria Pet Insurance Ltd and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
20. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
