The Agria Dog Walk 2026
Throughout May, your everyday walk can help change the lives of dogs in rescue.
Join us for the annual Agria Dog Walk 2026
The Agria Dog Walk is a nationwide digital initiative bringing dog lovers together to raise vital funds and awareness for UK rehoming organisations. And for every dog walked, Agria will donate £5 to rescue, helping them continue their incredible work caring for dogs still waiting for a loving home.
Walking for change
Whether your walk is long or short, fast or slow, muddy or meandering, every walk counts! This isn’t about distance, it’s about getting outside and showing up for dogs in need. The Agria Dog Walk aims to turn something you already do - walking - into hope, support and real change for rescue dogs.

Why it matters
Every dog deserves another chance, yet across the UK, thousands are still looking for a comfy sofa and loving home of their own.
Until they find their special someone, rehoming organisations continue to work under significant financial pressure to care for them every single day and they need your help!
Why we do it
At Agria, our care for animals goes beyond insurance. This is why we’re so proud to work with hundreds of rescues across the UK and to stand alongside our European colleagues, all walking for dogs in need in May, because every animal deserves love, proper care and a forever home.
The Agria Dog Walk is our way of raising funds, awareness and community support for dogs who need it most.

The rescues you’re helping to support
This year’s Agria Dog Walk is proud to support five incredible rescues from across the UK, all working tirelessly to care for animals who are still waiting to find their forever homes.

These organisations provide vital shelter, veterinary care, rehabilitation and love for dogs and other animals in need, often under significant financial pressure and with limited resources. By taking part in the Agria Dog Walk, you’ll be helping to support:
- Hay Animal Rescue Team (HART)
- Mrs Murrays Cat & Dog Home
- USPCA (Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
- Almost Home Dog Rescue
- Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue
Throughout May, we’ll be sharing real, inspiring stories from all of these rescues, so you can see exactly how your walks are helping to make a difference.
Hay Animal Rescue Team
Established in 2022, Hay Animal Rescue Team (HART) is a small, volunteer-led rescue based in Hay on Wye. The charity’s purpose is to provide practical support for animals in need and to assist the people responsible for their care.
HART responds to a wide range of situations, from litters of feral kittens requiring immediate shelter to pets needing new homes due to changes in their owners’ circumstances. Operating across Powys and Herefordshire, the organisation works to relieve animal suffering by offering safe, temporary care and supporting each animal through the transition to a more secure future.
All animals taken into HART’s care are placed with experienced foster carers who provide assessment, rehabilitation, and day-to-day support until the animal is ready for adoption. Before rehoming, every animal is vaccinated, microchipped, neutered when age appropriate, and treated for fleas and worms to prepare them for a healthy start in their new home.

Mrs Murrays Cat & Dog Home

Mrs Murray’s Home for Stray Dogs and Cats was founded in 1889 by Mrs Susan Murray, providing vital refuge for stray and abandoned animals across Aberdeen.
At a time when there was nowhere for unwanted dogs and cats to go, Mrs Murray opened the doors of her own home, driven by compassion and a determination to make a difference. Later that same year, thanks to fundraising efforts led by Mrs Murray and her supporters, purpose-built kennels were officially opened by Lord Provost Henderson.
Today, Mrs Murray’s continues this legacy, caring for and rehoming around 600 animals each year, including dogs, cats, and small animals. The Home also offers animal boarding and remains the only organisation of its kind in north-east Scotland. As an independent charity receiving no government or lottery funding, Mrs Murray’s relies entirely on donations, legacies, and public support to safeguard the future of the animals in its care.
Ulster Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
Since 1836, the USPCA have been there for all animals in Northern Ireland, standing the test of time as the second oldest Animal Welfare Charity in the world!
From just one hub based in Newry, Co. Down they provide rescue and rehabilitation services for sick, injured and abandoned animals. From finding loving homes for hundreds of cats and dogs, to rescuing injured wildlife and reuniting lost pets with their families, their teams work tirelessly to give every animal a second chance.
Alongside these services, they provide support for pet owners through their pet parcel scheme which is a proactive initiative designed to help pet owners in Northern Ireland keep their pets at home and well-fed, even in challenging financial times.
They also campaign tirelessly for better laws to improve the lives of animals and expose the cruelty behind organised abuse, through their Special Investigations Unit.

Almost Home Dog Rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue are a small, passionate, dog rescue based in North Wales. They aim to provide a safe haven for dogs that have been abandoned through no fault of their own, rehome them, and to educate the next generation of dog owners.
They prioritise dogs within the UK stray system who are at risk of being euthanised after their history period is completed. They also assist with local dogs needing rehoming via the general public, veterinary centres, social services and other charities.
Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue
Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue are a small, independent organisation dedicated to helping stray, abandoned & unwanted dogs.
They rehabilitate and care for injured, sick and abused dogs and working alongside Herefordshire council, they take in all unclaimed stray dogs. Some go back home, but sadly many are never reclaimed by their owners. These are the dogs they take care of, providing them with shelter, either in their kennels or in a foster home. These dogs receive any veterinary treatment they may need, routine vaccinations, parasite medications, microchips and they stay with the rescue until a new home is found for them.
