National Tree Week 2025

Trees absorb carbon, prevent flooding, and provide the shade, shelter and stability that help ecosystems flourish. They also shape the places where pets and people spend time together. They help us by cooling our towns and cities, improving air quality, and supporting mental and physical health. Our precious wildlife and birds make them their homes and sanctuaries too.
As a Carbon Negative business, Agria removes more carbon from the atmosphere than we emit each year. Tree planting forms an important part of our wider commitment to climate action and nature restoration. Through our projects like the Agria Acre, our tree-planting partnership with Chiltern Rangers, and regular volunteering days, we’re helping to restore woodland habitats, strengthening biodiversity and helping communities reconnect with nature.
Our partnership with Chiltern Rangers brings together conservation experts and hands-on teamwork. From planting native species in local woodlands to maintaining young trees through the seasons, our teams have taken an active role in building more resilient landscapes. These projects support local biodiversity, provide important wildlife corridors, and help reduce flood risk in surrounding communities.
We are so proud that the Agria Acre continues to grow. It’s a special place that can connect our customers, teams, and partners through collective action. Every tree planted and protected here contributes to the larger goal of removing carbon and restoring natural balance. Together, these projects represent the practical side of our environmental commitments, real actions that protect habitats, while improving the wellbeing of the people and wildlife who rely on them.
This year, our team also planted a tree in memory of Police Dog Zyla, in honour of her service and loyalty. As this tree grows it will be a living tribute and a reminder of what we protect when we care for animals and the natural world around us.
Tree planting is a wonderful action that can bring together everything that matters in sustainability: climate action, community wellbeing and connection to nature. It’s practical, has a real impact that you can see and is long lasting.
Trees also remind us how closely our work links people, animals and planet. When we care for nature, we build resilience for the future by reducing emissions, improving wellbeing and creating safe spaces for wildlife. As we celebrate National Tree Week, we’re proud to play our part in restoring and protecting our landscapes. Because when the planet thrives, people and animals thrive too, and every tree we plant helps make that possible.
