Meet Ros Canter

Growing up on her family’s farm in Lincolnshire, Ros Canter developed a love of horses from an early age. She rode alongside her sisters and combined equestrian sport with other athletic interests, before studying Sports Science at Sheffield Hallam University. That grounding in performance, fitness and determination would later help shape one of eventing’s most successful careers.

Ros made her senior championship debut for Great Britain at the 2017 European Championships in Strzegom, winning team gold and finishing fifth individually with Allstar B. Just one year later, the pair delivered the performance that propelled Ros onto the world stage, claiming both team and individual gold at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon.

Her partnership with Lordships Graffalo has brought further extraordinary success. In 2023, they won Badminton Horse Trials before becoming team and individual European champions at Haras du Pin, making Ros one of only a handful of riders to have held both World and European individual titles.

Ros and Lordships Graffalo went on to help Great Britain retain Olympic team gold at Paris 2024, before winning Burghley later that year. Further Badminton victories followed in 2025 and 2026, when the pair made history as the first horse-and-rider combination to win the prestigious five-star event three times, cementing their place among eventing’s all-time greats.
