Sophie White, BVetMed MSc MRCVS, is a veterinary surgeon with over a decade of experience. She is also a Dog Behaviourist, specialising in human directed aggression, handling issues & cases with complex medical histories.

Show dog handler, trainer and behavioural adviser, David Alcorn is an experienced Weimaraner breeder. In 2024, David won the Gundog group title at Crufts 2024 with his 4 year old Weimaraner, Hendricks, and competed for the coveted Best in Show title.

Owe Carter is a writer specialising in insurance and pets. After a 10-year shift as lead copywriter at Confused.com, he's written for numerous consumer, motor and personal-finance businesses - including Go.Compare, Admiral, AA Driving School, Ageas, Principality, MoneyWeek and Look After My Bills. He has two cats, Niblet and Slinky, and a cavalier named Momo.

Rebecca has a passion for animal welfare, which she combines with over 15 years of marketing expertise in her role as Brand and Communications Executive at Agria, where she has enjoyed working since 2017. She has a beautiful black rescue moggy called Libby and would love to rescue more pets in future if Libby will let her.

Lars Mortensen, DVM, MRCVS, has two decades of veterinary experience in both Equine and small animal practice. Lars is the UK head veterinarian at Agria's veterinary advice service and he also enjoys working as an equine ambulatory vet. He lives in a small Northamptonshire village with his family, a border collie and a retired racehorse.

Equine lawyer Jacqui trained in Birmingham and since qualification in 2003 she has specialised solely in equine law, and established Equine Law UK in 2010. As a Solicitor Advocate, Jacqui holds higher rights of audience to represent clients in hearings up to and including the High Court. Jacqui’s extensive equestrian knowledge comes from her own wide experience in horse ownership and breeding.

Ben Benson Farriery is an established farriery business based in Swalcliffe, Oxfordshire. An Associate of the Worshipful Company of Farriers, a Master Farrier & Approved Training Farrier, Ben has worked in the industry for over 23 years, has shod at three Olympic Games and in 2022, he was made President of the British Farriers and Blacksmiths Association.

Donna Case has over 10 years experience as an Equine Nutritionist and has appeared in many of the UK's leading equestrian publications, including Horse & Hound Magazine, British Dressage Magazine, and British Eventing Magazine. During her time as a nutritionist she has worked not only in high performance yards, but also at high profile events themselves in the stable areas on call.

She has over 20 years’ clinical experience and uses her in depth knowledge of mental health and disability and human behaviour, to inform her clinical work. She is Founder of the Human Animal Welfare Alliance.

Sarah specialises in aggression in dogs and weird and wonderful behaviour problems in cats. She runs the Clever Dog Company – with 15 branches of puppy and dog training classes in the South of England. She is an accredited education provider (www.thinkdog.org) and an inspirational speaker on all things dog and cat.

Caroline Alupo is a dog trainer and ethologist with 2 decades of work experience helping scared and reactive dogs to calm down. She is passionate about coaching handlers and owners to have a deeper understanding of their dogs and loves to share training techniques that enable dog owners to guide their dogs to positive interaction and balance.

Sam Khan shares her woodland home with Junior, the cat, Gully, the dog and bunnies Hugo & Billy, sometimes playing the family’s ‘favourite’ game with the tortoise – “Where’s Churchill?” She loves writing for Agria, sharing our passion for animal welfare, protecting biodiversity and the environment. When not writing or illustrating, she will be making something, reading a book or swimming in the lake at the bottom of her lane.

Lucy Hoile is a fully qualified, accredited and experienced behaviourist. She works exclusively with cats, helping her clients with challenging behaviour, from cats that aren't getting along, to problems with aggression. Her experience spans back to 2010, and she has featured in all sorts of media, from BBC Radio Solent and GBNews, to Bored Panda.

Lucy Hornsby, 24, qualified as a farrier in November 2024, having completed her apprenticeship with Master Farrier and Agria consultant Ben Benson.

Lucy is a communications, content, PR, editor and research expert with particular expertise in the rural, education and equestrian fields.

Amanda Andersson is a content writer Agria Djurförsäkring in Sweden, specialising in animal welfare. Previous experience includes Volvo on Demand, and 60plusbanken in Sweden.

Adam Jolley is a writer specialising in insurance, personal finance, and pets. He’s worked for Confused.com and Admiral Insurance, and currently writes and edits for an online magazine. His strangest pet was a hissing cockroach. Now, he’s a proud cat dad to Penelope, affectionately known as Nelly.
